What's so great about being me is......

Just joking, I do my best to keep it dwon here on the Earth. However< i have been "working from home for over 5 years now and I am a little proud of myself for that reason. It has not been easy. Financially, we've been up and down, and it certainly seems like we feel and remember the down more than the up. But, all in all, it has been so worth it, I have witnessed so much more in my childrens young lives that I would never exchange it for anything.

We eat breakfast, lunch and dinner together almost every day. That trumps a new BMW for now. Don't get me wrong, I really want the realy, really fine things in life, just now, I have chosen differernt things in favor of my children. You see, most folks don't realize until it's too late that children do things for such a very short period of time. They are only cute for so very long, "trust me on this one, I have a 12 year old girl as well as my 2 little ones". They grow and stop kissing you and hugging you too much. I love you is a chore to say. It's not as if we do things wrong and they are damaged, it's just the way of the world.

So, stop what your doing, it's Columbus day, (That guy has got one heck of a story you should check out sometime) and take stock. Are you focused on the a prize? Or is the prize right in front of you and you need to shift your focus?

Rain, rain go away. Come back another day....

It doesn't rain the better part of the year here in the NorthEast and we are sort of flirting wioth a drought. Here comes tropical storm x or y or z, I'm not sure we've seen so much this year. Why is it that rain always seems to show up on Saturday and not on Monday morning?

Sort of like insult to injury, ya know? It's also apparent to me in my life, things that happen to me that are less than great always come at an in-opportune (sp?) time. Make lemonade I suppose is what the half-full people say.

Sometimes, I find myself sucking on the lemon and getting ticked off and even more involved in the negative energy. Focusing on the lemon instead of the lemonade gets you ulcers, more borke, more tired, etc.

I find no releif in commiserating about my/our problems. But I still find myself doing it, with the same people in my life. Funny thing is we all are looking for better results but can't seem to find them.

So I have to ask myself and I'll ask you as well. How do you get away from the negative influences in your life?

How do you remove these forces? Do you? If you don't what are you gonna do about it?

I was a tossin and turnin.....all night.

I sometimes wonder if it's just me or do you all have restless nights unexpectedly? I know it's my mind working overtime and trying to connect with my subconscious. Still, it ticks me off. Next day, I'm cranky, body feels weird. You know what I'm talking about?

So, what is it? Waht's trying to get through when we are restless at tnight? Money, sex, relationships? The funny thing about self work is it really is all up to you. No one is gonna ride in and give you all the answers. No therapists or preist is gonna magically sort it all out for you.

The cool thing is that as you start to figure some of it out, it is actually really rewarding. Again, the funny thing is, you can't share it cause others who aren't on the path don't really get it.

Oh well.....tonight is another chance to figure it all out all over again.....

So...I buried a statue of St. Joseph in my backyard

Imagine the respeonse when I told Ted that line as a follow up to I am selling my house.

I have heard over and over that the practice of burying a statue of St. Joseph, (upside down, no less) in your yard, (or any other number of places) can help you get your house sold, quickly and for the right price.

I am a man of faith, faith that gets stronger every day. At the same time I am always in search of a good hosing down of hope, (even a trickle to tell you the truth). So 2 days after I buried a 6" statue of St. Joseph in my yrad, upside down and read the devotional card aloud, I had a breakthrough.

The concept of the stsue create in the mind of the buyer, release. Release that St. Joseph is now responsible for the sale of their home. Not luck, good paint, nice kitchen, whatever.

Release. Letting go and in this case, letting God as they like to say, (someday we'll address the "they" out there and who the heck they think they are).

So, ask yourselfwhat are you holding onto that yields no value or will not cause you a positive result.

Release.

Blah, Blah, Blah...and need I say Blah?

So here comes the Fall again. Time for Halloween candy, Thanksgiving dinner and Christams and New Year's. Basically, any progress I've made fighting my middle is sure to slip away.

So, what to do.

Eat less, yeah, that really works.
Exercise more, uh huh, lot's of time for that.
Acupuncture, too much of a pain.
Surgery, I'm really not overweight, just uncomfortable with my weight.
Diet pills, ah, maybe, but not always.

How about one day at a time and not being so critical of myself.

I will not obsess this holiday season and i will relent and not stress over things I normally stress over.

So let's turn this around and ask you....what stresses you out? What drives you batty?

Easy right? Lots of things like me I'm sure. What I've realized that in the grand scheme of things, all the little things that used to get me nuts really don't matter. What matters most is time with my 3, (going on 4) kids and my wife, period. You can't get time back, but you can waste energy.

Where's your energy going?

The FDA Controls Vitamin C?

It comes as a surprise to many consumers that the ban on Ephedra, a powerful weight loss supplement was lifted in April of 2005. A Utah Judge overturned the FDA’s decision to ban the natural substance. So why is it that one of the most sought after and powerful diet pills ever created is not widely marketed and readily available to the public? You can thank the FDA, and all of the advertising mediums that design their company policies and guidelines around FDA approvals or disapprovals.

Few people know that the FDA once tried to control Vitamin C! The FDA is now working hard to control all Nutraceuticals and all natural remedies. You can purchase it online at http://www.ephedraenergy.com/. Until manufacturing labs catch up, this will be the only place to get your hands on Ephedra products for the next 9 months.

Ephedra has been used by the Chinese for more than 2000 years. In the beginning it was used to treat asthma, colds, and upper respiratory infections. The primary active ingredient is the Chinese herb MaHuang. There is a natural agent that’s extracted from Ma Huang. It is carefully mixed with other natural ingredients to create what we know today as Ephedra.

Ephedra is a powerful fat burner. In fact, before the ban, billions of bottles were being sold each year. Labs could not produce it fast enough. The demand is still there, however, the problem is that consumers have no idea where to get it until now. Thanks to EphedraEnergy.com and OnlineMarketingSystems.net, the “Weight” is over.

I Lost 15 Pounds In Nine Weeks, "My Story"

So you might be asking yourself, “Why is there so much hype over a supplement that has been available for over three thousand years?” Same question I asked myself to be honest. I have successfully used Ephedra, time and time again to assist me in my weight loss efforts with no side effects or complications. Let’s compare Ephedra as used for weight loss with traditional pharmaceuticals. One of the main reasons the FDA was able to ban Ephedra in the US was the fact that there is not one consolidated industry lobby for the use of nutraceuticals. The base of Ephedra manufacturers have never had representation in Washington DC related to the promotion of the product. Comparatively, the pharmaceutical industry uses a considerable portion of its profits for lobbying and campaign support.

A great many questions get posted on the weight loss message boards asking about diet supplements that get sold in stores, on TV, and over the Internet. Just look at how people are using and or abusing these over the counter solutions for weight loss and you’ll see across the board that deaths related to these nutraceuticals is from improper use and or abuse of these compounds. Compare the number of deaths from nutraceuticals to the number of deaths related to pharmaceuticals. The difference is staggering. From 1979-2000 over 132,000 deaths were classified as fatal poisoning from pharmaceuticals.

Use wisely and blended with doctor recommended diet and exercise, Ephedra used for weight loss is hands down the best way to accelerate your metabolism. Back in 1995, I utilized Ephedra for weight loss successfully. Beginning with a physical, my doctor cleared me for strenuous exercise and I changed my diet to low-fat, whole food carbohydrates and moderate protein. I removed caffeine and alcohol from my diet and replaced that with green tea and Ephedra. My results were impressive. I went from 197 pounds to 172 pounds in just 9 weeks. I ate 6 times per day so my body was constantly burning energy and I was rarely hungry.
Ephedra for weight loss is truly the only method that has ever worked for me. I have tried protein diets, low fat, no fat, herbal Ephedra-like compounds, shakes and pills and nothing works like Ephedra, nothing. It curbs your appetite, gives you extreme energy and puts your metabolism into 6th gear. There are no side effects when used wisely and with a doctor’s approval. The exchange is you need to be mindful of your diet and be sure to include exercise alongside the use of Ephedra for weight loss.

So, You Wanna Buy Ephedra? Get In Line Partner!

With millions of people aiming for successful weight loss, many are still interested in diet pills and want to buy ephedra. Perhaps you are wondering...can I still buy ephedra?

The answer is yes, you can still buy ephedra. Not all countries have placed bans on allowing people to buy ephedra. These countries may believe that ephedra is still useful for weight loss or other conditions. Some countries, such as the United States, allow you buy ephedra as long as the active amount is limited to less than 10mg of pure ephedrine. In fact, the only place to order the pure form ephedra is though Ephedra Energy at www.EphedraEnergy.com.

People on weight loss programs still want to buy ephedra because it reduces appetite and stimulates fat metabolism, making it one of the most effective weight loss supplements in existence. Perhaps you want to buy ephedra because it increases the metabolic rate so that your body burns fats and sugars more efficiently.
Do not buy ephedra if you are expecting a miracle cure by itself. For true weight loss success, don’t discount consuming natural foods with a high nutrient to calorie ratio and increasing your daily physical activity. With a balanced diet, exercise and ephedra as a supplement, not many people have reported lack of results. Ephedra is powerful enough to help you lose weight quickly, however, you cannot take ephedra forever. Once your optimal weight is achieved, the habit of a good diet and exercise are critical in maintaining that optimal weight level.

Diet Pills, Schmiet Pills, Who Needs Diet Pills

You’ve seen diet pill advertisements… You have read the testimonials claiming diet pills work. You have often wondered - will diet pills work for me?

For fast weight loss, diet pills can work. If you are overweight or obese, using diet pills can help to kick start your weight loss program and help you in attaining your ideal weight.

A word of caution when determining whether diet pills are for you, diet pills are not the final answer to your weight loss concerns. No diet pill will let you eat what you want, not exercise and still lose weight. You many see results short term but the challenge will be keeping it off. You should ensure that your consumption of diet pills is in conjunction with a healthy eating and exercise regime. There is medical evidence that diet pills do work to aid in weight loss, but not as a miracle cure. Researchers stress the use of diet pills along with diet and exercise.

Types of Diet Pills

There is a wide variety of diet pills on the market; prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements. Here is a brief overview of the different types of diet pills available.

Prescription Diet Pills: Only available with a Doctor’s prescription, your Physician will monitor your health and weight loss progress while you are taking the diet pills.

Fat Blockers and Carb Blockers: Inhibits the action of the lipase enzyme. When you eat foods containing fat, lipase breaks down the fat in the intestine. Fat blockers remove some of the fat ingested through bowel movements instead of being broken down and absorbed.

Appetite Suppressants: Affects the appetite-regulating region of the brain. These diet pills decrease your appetite by increasing serotonin, a chemical in the brain that affects mood and appetite.

Over-the-counter Diet Pills: Widely available in your local drugstore, supermarket or online, OTC diet pills are monitored by the FDA for efficacy and product claims. Most OTC diet pills work by increasing your energy while boosting metabolism.

Herbal Diet Pills: Also available without a prescription, herbal diet pills are typically found in health food and nutrition stores. Some of the ingredients in herbal diet pills that aim to reduce appetite and increase metabolism are ephedra, caffeine, guarana, guar gum, psyllium, conjugated linoleic acid and chitosan.
Research the different diet pills available to determine which are right for you. Avoid diet pills that make ‘sweeping claims’ because you may just end up disappointed with your results. Remember, in order to achieve sustainable weight loss while taking diet pills, you need to include a healthy eating plan and regular exercise.

Got ephedra?

Ephedra is one of the world’s oldest medicines, as the Chinese first discovered it more than 5,000 years ago. The scientific name for Ephedra is ‘Ephedra Sinica’, which is an herbal product that comes from an evergreen plant called Ma Huang.
Ephedra is known to increase metabolism, relax the air passages, promote perspiration and promote urination. With these reactions in the body, Ephedra has been shown to help with weight loss, asthma, coughs, minor colds and edema.

Physiologically, Ephedra stimulates the brain, causing nervousness and making the heartbeat faster. Ephedra temporarily expands the tubes that carry air to the lungs (bronchial tubes), which makes breathing easier in people who have asthma and other respiratory illnesses. Ephedra is best known for its fat burning (thermogenic) properties. Some research shows the ephedra promotes fat loss while sparing lean muscle. People also use Ephedra as an energy booster and to help with weight loss.

According to the FDA’s website, the short-term use of Ephedra or Ephedra plus caffeine is associated with a statistically significant increase in short-term weight loss compared to placebo. There are no studies assessing the long-term effects of the
Given the studies on short-term effectiveness, you may consider using Ephedra for a shorter length of time while you are concentrating on reaching your weight loss target. Be sure to consume Ephedra according to industry guidelines, which suggest no more than 10mg of Ephedra per day. use of Ephedra containing dietary supplements.

Ephedra Ban? What Ephedra Ban?

In December 2003, the FDA incorporated an ephedra ban making it illegal to sell any products containing ephedra. The ephedra ban was put in place after investigation of several allegations that ephedra caused serious health problems, including death.

On April 13, 2005, a District Court of Utah judge threw out the part of the sweeping ephedra ban that prohibited the sale of products yielding less than 10mg of ephedra per day. The judge ruled that the full-scale ephedra ban was not necessary because the FDA failed to prove any danger from 10mg or less of ephedra daily.

Many felt the initial ephedra ban was harsh. After the ephedra ban, some media quoted the number of deaths due to ephedra at 155. However, an FDA commissioned report related to the 2003 ephedra ban stated that five deaths could be attributed directly to ephedra. In addition, it was not completely disclosed that of the 5 related deaths, some already had pre-existing conditions that contributed to the death. Compared to the number of deaths from Ibuprofen, for example, it’s pale in comparison.

The initial ephedra ban did not affect the sale of over the counter allergy and decongestant medications that can contain ephedrine in synthetic form. With the ephedra ban lift, we have found only one company, Ephedra Energy, which sells the pure form of ephedra to the public.

I'm An Athlete, Can I Take Ephedra Pills?

You are probably familiar with the weight loss connection with the ephedra pill, but did you know that the ephedra pill is also extremely popular with performance athletes?

For decades, athletes have been seeking out ways to enhance their performance. One of the most common and popular enhancing substances was the ephedra pill.

Why do Athletes Use the Ephedra Pill?

Athletes use the ephedra pill as it has a significant stimulatory effect on cells. Commonly taken before events, the ephedra pill improves the force of skeletal muscle contractions with a powerful effect on performance. Finally, the athletes’ metabolism is stimulated which can be helpful with fat burning and energy requirements during intense training.

In many sports, the ephedra pill is a banned substance. Athletes who use the ephedra pill to enhance their performance risk testing positive during doping tests. Depending on the sport, the penalty for testing positive for the ephedra pill can be significant. The intentional use of the ephedra pill is punishable by international laws, call doping control regulations.

Many successful athletes have experienced embarrassing suspensions by testing positive for the ephedra pill. One of the first and most famous cases occurred after the 1994 FIFA World Cup where Argentine footballer Diego Armando Maradona tested positive for the ephedra pill during doping control. He was suspended from the game for more than one year.
The ephedra pill, among other performance enhancers will continue to be under scrutiny in the realm of competitive sports. Athletes who choose to use the ephedra pill do so under the risk of discrediting themselves should they test positive.

Ephedra, Cheaper Than Your Daily Cup Of Starbucks

Ephedra has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. However, in the last decade, ephedra products have been thrust into the media spotlight given to high profile lawsuits, the FDA all encompassing ban, and the recent ephedra ban reversal.

With all this media attention, you may be wondering what exactly the ephedra product is. Ephedra product is derived from an herbal plant called Ma Huang. The main chemical compound in ephedra is ephedrine. Ephedrine is a chemical that simulates the nervous system, dilates bronchial tubes, elevates metabolism and increases heart rate.

People who use the ephedra product may do so for a number of reasons. They use ephedra product to help with asthma, colds, and flu, for athletic training or to lose weight. Most users of an ephedra product may experience little to no side effects when taking the recommended dosage. When taking too high a dosage of ephedra-based products, one may experience side effects such as:

Anxiety
Dizziness
Headaches
Restlessness
High blood pressure
Trouble sleeping
Nausea or vomiting
Dry mouth
Increasing heart rate and blood pressure

If you are currently taking an ephedra product or have decided that an ephedra product is right for your life, remember to advise your physician. There is some evidence that suggests ephedra may react negatively with a variety of medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, glaucoma, and hyperthyroidism. You should never take any supplements or medication without your physician knowing. Also, when taking an ephedra product, follow the recommended industry guidelines and do not consume more than is recommended. In retrospect, ephedra products can be safe and quite effective when taken properly.

Ephedrine, what's all the BUZZ about?

Lose weight! Lose body fat! Improve your athletic performance! Sounds great, doesn’t it? These statements are all claims commonly seen in relation to Ephedrine products. Ephedrine is a drug derived from the plant Ephedra Equisetina.

Ephedrine has been used for hundreds of years as a central nervous system stimulate and decongestant. In fact, pseudoephedrine is a synthetic form that is a common ingredient in over the counter cold and allergy products. Structurally similar to amphetamines, Ephedrine can dilate the bronchial muscles, increase blood pressure and is a cardiac stimulant. Users of Ephedrine report being more alert and focused.

As a weight loss pill, Ephedrine acts as a natural stimulant increasing energy expenditure through improved hydrolysis of fat, increasing basal metabolic rate and suppressing appetite. Ephedrine used this way is commonly referred to Ephedra.

At high doses, ephedrine users can experience anxiety, heart palpitations, headaches, vomiting, tremors and insomnia. Minimal risks have been associated with small ephedrine dosages. Usage of ephedrine along with caffeine can be extremely dangerous as caffeine augments its effectiveness.
Due to adverse reactions in high dosages, some countries have imposed wide reaching ephedrine bans. Should you choose to consume ephedrine to assist you in reaching your weight loss goals, be sure to consume it according to national industry standards.

What The Heck Is MaHuang And How Can It Help Me?

Ma Huang, also known as Chinese ephedra, has been around for centuries. Initially used to treat wheezing (Asthma), Ma Huang is an herbal plant with the primary active ingredient being ephedrine. Ephedrine accounts for 80 to 90 percent of the alkaloid content of the Ma Huang plant. Ma Huang is commonly available as a whole plant dried and powdered. Teas, extracts and supplements can also contain Ma Huang.

What is Ma Huang used for?

In traditional Chinese medicine, Ma Huang, or ephedra was used to treat colds, asthma, and other upper-respiratory disorders. Ma Huang helps lessen congestion by opening up bronchial and nasal passages. Ma Huang can also speed up the heart rate, raise blood pressure and have a diuretic affect.

Not surprisingly, several manufacturers developed weight loss pills containing the herb Ma Huang. These Ma Huang weight loss pills were marketed as helping people lose weight, enhancing their athletic performance and boosting energy. Ma Huang users reported feeling far more energy, which allowed them to increase their physical activity resulting in significant weight loss.

What happens if you take Ma Huang?

Most people experience no side effects when consuming a weight loss pill containing Ma Huang, providing the level of Ma Huang is low. However, at high doses, some people had serious enough reactions to Ma Huang to warrant comprehensive public health investigations. Serious side effects of Ma Huang usage include elevated blood pressure, chest pain, and interference with heartbeat rhythm and force. In extremely rare cases, there were reports of cardiac death related to Ma Huang usage.

Although still available and in use in many countries, in December 2003, the United States FDA imposed an Ephedra ban on the sale of all ephedra / Ma Huang containing products. Recently, the U.S. lifted the ban, which will now allow the sale of Ma Huang supplements with a daily dosage of 10mg or less.

Who needs weight loss pills to lose weight?

So I'm a little overweight, do I need to take weight loss pills to take it off?

Are you struggling with weight loss? If diet and exercise have left you scratching your head, have you considered weight loss pills to help you lose weight?

You are not alone. National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey reported that nearly two thirds of Americans are overweight. Many of these overweight people turn to weight loss pills to help them battle the bulge.

Being overweight is a risk factor for many chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and certain cancers. It also has detrimental effects on self-esteem and confidence. For these many reasons, you may consider weight loss pills to help you lose weight.

If you have tried conventional methods for weight loss, you may find weight loss pills very tempting. When considering weight loss pills, the old adage of ‘buyer beware’ holds true. Be sure to avoid products that make outrageous claims. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Some exceptions would be “pure form” weight loss pills that have been clinically proven such as Ephedra. In fact, the ephedra ban was lifted in April of this year and is now available to the public once again at www.EphedraEnergy.com.

Consider the following questions when evaluating the many weight loss pills available:

Can I access clinical research on the weight loss pills?
How much weight do you want to lose and how fast?
What are the side effects of the weight loss pills?
Should I go the all-natural route or take a prescription?
How long can weight loss pills safely be taken?

Consult your Doctor about weight loss pills and discuss the following:

Your complete medical history
Ask for a medical examination
Discuss your weight loss options, including weight loss pills
Ask about the side effects of weight loss pills
Arrange a follow-up appointment if you choose to take weight loss pills

If you’ve decided that weight loss pills are right for you, follow these safety measures:

Take the weight loss pills exactly as noted on the label
Follow a healthy eating and exercise program
If you experience side effects, inform your doctor
Visit your doctor after taking weight loss pills the first month to assess it’s progress. If the weight loss pills aren’t working – stop taking them!

Following the steps above should help you make an informed decision regarding the right weight loss pill for your body type and desired results. The first real step in any weight loss program starts first with the conscious decision to do something about it.

Who says weight loss is easy?

Who Says I Need Help For My Weight Loss Program?

If you consider yourself the heavyweight champion of your household, you are not alone. Millions of people from all over the world are struggling with the weight loss battle. With 40% of the American population considered obese, weight loss is one of the greatest challenges of modern day living.

People now have to focus on weight loss because of an abundance of food choices, the large variety of fatty and caloric foods in supermarkets, large portion sizes, advertising for caloric rich, nutrient poor foods and not exercising. Anyone of these can cause you to pack on the pounds, combine all five and you are in for a big weight loss challenge.

There are several positive, yet simple changes you can make that lead to successful weight loss.

Control portion sizes. Consult dietary guidelines to help you determine appropriate portion sizes. Many people on a weight loss program grossly underestimate the amount of food they consume each day.

Write it down. Write down everything that goes into your mouth. Weight loss success cannot be achieved without an understanding of the foods you eat. Ensure you accurately account for all food consumed.

Consider a weight loss supplement. Supplements can help you achieve your weight loss goals…however; they are not the total solution. Supplements will not assist with sustainable weight loss unless you also practice healthy eating and exercise.

Exercise, even a little…everyday. Without an exercise component, your weight loss will not be maintained. Don’t invest a huge chunk of your day for exercise, instead, for long-term weight loss incorporate exercise in your everyday life. For example, park further from work and walk 10 minutes to the office. Always take the stairs, instead of the elevator. Aim to walk at least 10,000 steps everyday, and increase the number of steps gradually once you reach the 10,000 mark.

Choose foods with a high nutrient to calorie ratio. For successful weight loss, focus on eating foods that have ample nutrition, but not a lot of fat and calories, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and legumes.

Remember that weight loss that is healthy and sustainable will take some time. Physicians recommend that a goal of around 2lbs per week is both reasonable and easier to maintain. One you reach your weight loss goal, you will have to continue the healthy eating and exercise habits you developed in order to keep your weight off for the long term.
